EXPERIENCE

Freelance Editor, NYC, 1/05 – present. Avid and Final Cut Pro editing of promos for various cable clients in NYC including MTV, IFC, The Learning Channel, and others. Several hour long programs for A&E, The Travel Channel, VH1, and Fuse. Offline and online editor for The Criterion Collection cutting documentary pieces released as supplemental material for their dvds. These pieces run between 5 and 60 minutes each.

Sideshow Creative, NYC, Avid Editor, 8/02 – 1/05 Staff Editor for broadcast and commercial editorial/vfx facility. Clients include Wendy's (McCann-Erickson) Showtime, InDemand, Discovery Channel, Women's Entertainment, Disney, ABC, Rockstar Games, Adidas (Badger, Kry, and Partners), Oxygen, and others.

Blue Sky Studios, Assistant Editor, 2/00 – 3/02 Academy Award nominated feature animation Ice Age and Academy Award nominated animated short film Gone Nutty. Responsible for all primary Avid tasks. Administration of all Avid Film Composers and Unity Media Net server. Editing and presentation of Animation dailies, and layout animatics, editor of daily fine cut sessions with directors. Technical liaison to all other departments including Technical Direction, Information Systems, and studio CFO.

Virtual Media, NYC, Avid Field Technician, 8/99 – 2/00 Providing on site support and installation of Avid Editing systems for Premiere Reseller. Systems included mac and windows systems and Film Composers, Avid Symphony, Avid Unity Media Net servers, Transoft Fibre Channel shared storage, and custom wiring of component racks with various vtrs and hardware. Clients included CBS, NBA, and Sony.

Digital Editing Solutions, NYC, Avid Engineer, 11/98 – 8/99 Providing on site support and installation of Avid Editing systems for rental facility. Systems included Mac Media Composers, Media Share Fiber Channel and Transoft shared storage systems, and custom engineering of component racks with various vtrs and hardware. Clients included HBO, Miramax, Ron Howard, and Frank Oz.

Purchase College, Film Production Manager, 9/98 – 11/98 Maintenance of film and video production equipment and facilities for undergraduate film program. Incorporating 16mm motion picture cameras and lighting/grip equipment, film editing suites, video editing suites, computer animation and graphics suites, and sound stage shooting facility. Provided technical instruction to students on use of facilities.

City Arts, WNET 13, Equipment Manager, 6.98 – 9.98 Maintenance of production equipment for NY Documentary program shot on Mini DV. Location packages including cameras, audio equipment, and lighting equipment. Assisting producers and DPs with technical operation of all equipment.
