TV shows, documentaries, shorts, webisodes, sales tapes, upfronts, sizzles, behind the scenes, dvd extras... I’ve cut a number of things from five minute intros, to full length features.  Below is an overview of the kinds work I’ve done over 60 seconds.

The Criterion Collection:

Since 2005, I’ve had the pleasure of editing supplemental documentaries for The Criterion Collection. These pieces are included as additional material on a number of DVD releases. They range from 5 minute introductions to in depth 45 minute discussions with directors, actors, and scholars. Some of these films include Akira Kurowsawa's "Ran", Ingmar Bergman's "The Virgin Spring", and Wes Anderson’s “Bottle Rocket”.  I also occassionaly step in as an online editor.

Samples available upon request.

“Courting Condi”, Feature Film

This docu-comedy follows one man across the country as he tries to win the heart of Condoleeza Rice.  I was the supervising editor on this film currently seeking distribution.  It has already won a number of accolades on it’s continuing festival run.  This is a 5 minute promotional piece for the film.  Additional info can be found on the official site here.

“A Priest. A Father”, Documentary

For the last several years I’ve been in production on a  documentary about my father, a former Catholic priest. He and his brother attended the same abbey in the early 1960's. While he left the priesthood and raised a family of 7, my uncle continued on became Bishop of Baltimore. This film takes a look at what it meant to be a priest decades ago, and the impact Vatican II had on a number of young Catholic priests. Several former and current priests have been interviewed for this documentary which is currently in post production.  Check out the trailer.

Television Shows, Various

I’ve cut a number of television shows for VH1, A&E, and Fuse, You can find my most recent work on “Art Attack”, a new series on The Travel Channel premiering in December.

Samples available upon request.

“Heroes:Destiny”-Behind the Scenes,

Web Series

This behind the scenes follows a spinoff of Heroes on NBC.  This 4 minute piece is 1 of 4 that takes a look at what went into this prime time quality production.  This is an example of work whose destination is internet only, but receives the same attention to detail as any high profile broadcast. Check out it’s web presence here.

Sales Tapes, Various

Over the years I’ve cut a number of network sales tapes, sizzles, award entries, and all things corporate.  While many of these never see national airtime, some budgets can rival that of a commercial production.

Samples available upon request.

“100 People Under the Sun”

Originally brought on as a voiceover artist for this film, I was ultimately asked to come in towards the end to offer some additional editorial perspective.  It is an educational film produced by The 100 People Foundation to help children understand the power of solar energy.  The film travels all over the world to explore how different communities use the power of the sun to change their lives.  It lives on the web and coexists with an expansive lesson plan for teachers to use with their students.  This is a nonprofit effort, and I’m always excited to participate in this kind of meaningful endeavor.  Check out it’s web presence here.
